It's Wishmaster, not Witchmaster.

I assume that you are referring to the opinion of people under the age of 16, when you term the Beatles as underrated. The Beatles have the biggest selling album in UK history, have the most album sales in the USA and are likely still the most famous band in the world. They are appreciated more than any other band for their contribution to music.

Elvis isn't underrated either, and he, along with Led Zeppelin, has also sold over one hundred million albums in the USA alone.

All the other bands are well known all over the world too. Nevermore, Arch Enemy, Blind Guardian, Therion and Disarmonia Mundi are infinitely more underrated than any of those media darlings.

Bands You Missed Out

I know your tastes are more geared towards death and black metal, but you've excluded many notable heavy, speed, power, thrash and progressive metal bands. Here's a list of bands you should add to your poll:

Arch Enemy Helloween Blind Guardian Kreator Rage Judas Priest Motorhead Shadows Fall Therion Orphaned Land Queensryche Dream Theater Angra Kamelot Manowar Amon Amarth

Queen's Hits

As sad a fact as it is, many people who don't listen to rock music don't know any Led Zep songs other than Stairway to Heaven. Virtually everybody, rock fan or otherwise, knows at least five Queen songs.

Bohemian Rhapsody, I Want to Break Free, Killer Queen, Don't Stop Me Now, Another One Bites the Dust, Bicycle Race, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, A Kind of Magic, Under Pressure, Radio Ga Ga, I Want It All...

Queen have had about as many hits as any other band apart from the Beatles, and have enjoyed great success especially here in the UK. Nirvana had only about four or five hits, Alice in Chains even less. Led Zeppelin could have had more hits but chose to focus their efforts more on creating albums than hit singles.

Regardless, the number of 'hits' a band or artist has proves more about the marketing skill of the record label and the purchasing habits of the general public than it does the musical talents the said band/artist.

The Crazy Frog song was a huge hit here, far bigger than any Alice in Chains song ever was.
