Done.

Goodbye.

In fact, I would suggest that you limit your response to the Big 5 and not address anything after that, just for neatness sake, but I'm not going to insist on that. If you do that, you can probably be finished in a month or so, and then we can put this debate to bed.

Also, you mentioned a while back that I might not be able to help myself from replying to your reply. I now see <0% chance that I'll write anything significant, given the extreme lag time in responses (7 months and counting) and the anticipated length of your rebuttal.

Defending evolution is easy, Steve. So is debunking creationism. There is such a wealth of information out there. The research is the easiest part by far. Often it takes mere minutes; often it isn't necessary at all, since many of your arguments are about misunderstandings of very, very simple, basic things that I know off the top of my head, and others are based on logical fallacies. No research whatsoever required there. Your other claims? The most intensive research I did for the Big 5 was for the sections on Dino Blood and Lucy. The hard part, for me, is the writing - organizing ideas, choosing from an almost bewildering variety of approaches to take...there were a few sections in the Big 5 that I scrapped and started again from scratch. But generating a metric shytload of words has always been easy for me. At school, I never had any problem getting my papers to the minimum length of x # pages; my challenge was not turning them into sprawling messes like the one you're mired in right now. Brevity, conciseness, lean prose...these are qualities I admire in writing, that always seem to elude me.

I thought the 5 were closer to 50 pages; still quite insane either way.

btw, I have deleted three posts in this debate; if you have saved them to your computer, you are not to reply to them. I meant what I said in them, but they are no longer part of my response or input into this debate.

I did this because they are about personal meta-issues between us, not about the subjects we are discussing. They are not interesting; they are a drain on our discourse.

I promise you I will not delete any more; those posts were unique cases. The presence of those particular posts has been bugging me for some time. I let myself get sucked into a destructive topic. I saw it fitting to destroy them.

Please respect my wishes and do not reply to those posts if you have saved them on your computer. Thank you.

Mystery solved.

So much for your pretend science.

Steve, I came across a news story I found quite interesting; you might want to check it out.

I think it illustrates the kind of thing that can happen when a true believer becomes crazed with the love of Christ.

Remind me never to meet you in person, lol.
