I believe that protecting the nation should come as a second priority to our civil liberties. A government that becomes like 1984 is one not worth keeping. Civil liberties is the basis for the formation of this nation. Increasing civil liberties and less international presense is the answer to securing the US. The threats end when we stop threating others with our (Bush and his puppets') $%!@y behavior.

The elastic clause is the same thing as the necessary clause, also know as the necessary and proper clause as seen here:
The Necessary and Proper Clause (also known as the elastic clause) refers to Article One Section 8 paragraph 18 of the United States Constitution:
To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.

The fact that ageism exists is an issue in the world...that it should not be is another story altogether. While it is true modern American politics do not overlap with environmental concerns, social issues in America do not directly conflict with either politics or the environment. The social issue of Ageism, while not a new one, is slowly emerging in modern politics, such as through organizations such as the NYRA and the CYRA. This poll gives valid responses from all people regarding this social injustice in the United States.
