Hello. I had pretty weird experience with my son, he's now turning 16. We had our Christmas Eve formal every year, but this year, he wanted to come in jeans and t-shirt (!!). I convinced him to put on white shirt, black trousers, belt, button everything etc., but he didn't want tie or jacket. Because I didn't want to ruin the dinner, I just let him.
