Attitudes towards Broadband in America

Generally, a broadband internet connection is defined as a significantly faster connection than traditional dial-up services. Although America’s new National Broadband Plan doesn’t set standards classifying what constitutes “broadband”, broadband service includes the following forms of internet access: digital subscriber line (DSL), cable modem, fiber optic cable, wireless, satellite, and broadband over powerlines (BPL). As part of our term project in the Technology and Society course at The George Washington University, the following survey aims to examine your knowledge of- and attitudes toward- broadband internet access in the United States of America. Thank you very much for your time! Yours truly, Andrew Pautz, Frances Parker, and Ismail Alemadi
