CarMax and the Economy

CarMax is the largest retailer of used cars in the United States. Although it’s been very successful in its 15 years of operation, CarMax’s vision is to be the number one resource for information on the used car industry. In order to achieve this goal, CarMax’s public relations staff has asked for aid from our Public Relations Research class at Virginia Commonwealth University. Our group was assigned to do research on three of CarMax’s main “talking points:” the economy/real estate, the Cash for Clunkers federal program and current car sales as related to trends in fuel-efficient vehicles and car purchases. We have created this survey as simply one of many different research methods. The following survey is to understand how CarMax’s key public feels about CarMax and car purchases during this nation’s current economic situation?
