What are furries?

I want all honest answers here please. As of yet, the spectrum of answers I get as to what is a "furry" has been a wide range, and it appears that each extreme side of the spectrum COMPLETELY believe their definition is set in stone, which I find to be rather annoying. So I am hoping to get a clearer picture through this poll.

First of all, to the non-furries, what do you believe the definition of a furry is?

Anthropomorphic beings

People who draw anthropomorphic characters, fursuit, RP as anthropomorphic character, and/or believe they are part animal.

People who indulge in "yiffing." And If ya choose this, please fully describe your definition of that term.

Alrighty, now how were you introduced to the furry fandom?

I was a furry and found the community.

Someone I knew was a self-proclaimed furry and introduced me to his/her version of the fandom.

I heard about it from the media and/or internet. If this is so, please give a specific show/magazine/website etc.
