Polygamists in Texas

Which of the following is closest to your opinion regarding the recent removal by Texas authorities of children from their parents' custody in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints case?
Ranch case opinion:
It is a case of harassment of an unpopular minority religion.
The authorities were acting in good faith to protect innocent children.
The authorities had no evidence of danger to the children. The alleged anonymous phone call was just a pretext to justify the raid.
There may have been insufficient evidence, but suspicion of illegal conduct was good enough grounds to justify the raid and seizure of the children.
The whole thing is due to mass hysteria regarding "sex offenders".
The mere fact that polygamy is practiced by parents is sufficient reason to take their children from them.
Related question: If a child dies because of her parents' religious beliefs (eg., in a Jehovah's Witnesses blood-transfusion situation), should the parents be criminally liable for involuntary manslaughter or child abuse?
