Why is it that people who win American idol are not always who maybe 'should' win?
The studio picks a winner and the votes are meaningless
The votes count, but the studio will intervene if they don't want a certain person to win

People just thought their favorite would get the most votes, and didn't bother voting
If a favorite is low in votes it gets people to vote, it's just for publicity.
They only count the text votes since ATT gets .10 for each one. Phone votes are meaningless
