A satellite television station, called Al-Hurra (The Free One), financed by the U.S. government launched broadcasts aimed at Arab viewers with an exclusive interview with U.S. President George W. Bush in which he praised Iraqi determination to achieve democracy.

The station cost the US about $62 million in its first year. Is it worth it?
