Pledge of Allegiance - Under God?

Under God - Circle Slash

America is supposed to have fredom of religion, which includes the right not to be religious. "Under God" forces religion on people who may not want it.

Plus, ironically, most of the world's major evil is rooted by religions, so, it creates more problems than it solves. Thus forcing a belief on anyone should be avoided always in a country with freedom of religion.

Well, maybe if we made it "under Buddha", we might actually get somewhere!

It has always been in our pledge and it should not be removed.

Sorry Lightning, your WRONG! It started out on Columbus day in 1892, and was changed a couple of times. The most recent was in 1954, Congress after a campaign by the Knights of Columbus, added the words, 'under God,' to the Pledge. The Pledge was now both a patriotic oath and a public prayer.
