What is a Graven Image?

2nd commandment restricts more than graven images "ANY likeness of ANYTHING"

Forget about the graven image thing for a minute - focus on the rest of the 2nd commandment "or any likeness of anything" Yes, ANY likeness of ANYTHING. Thank God, once we are saved by the grace of God, we are not under the law. 1 John 3:6 - 3:8 "Whosoeverabideth in him sinneth not; whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil' for the the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed remaineth in him; AND HE CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE IS BORN OF GOD." Some twist the meaning of the commandments so they don't feel guilty about breaking them. Christians should stick to the literal meaning of the second commendment as it is written, realizing that everyone breaks the commandments. Who them can be saved? With man it is impossible, that is why man needs to humble himself before God. But after someone is saved, they are not under the law. Jesus sets us free from the bondage of the law. The truth shall set you free. "I am the way, the truth, and the life." That is the Good News! Once you are saved, you will still break commandments, but it is not sin. "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not" (1 John 5:18). By the way, many know that you are to keep the Sabbeth and do no work, but forget the frist part where God commmands you "six days shall thou work." Twist it all you want. It is clear, "SIX DAYS SHALL THOU WORK." Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
