The colony of Maryland which became the State of Maryland in the USA was originally run by the Calverts. Their are portarits Of the Calverts in the main libray in Baltimore City and in the State house in Anapolis. They are shown wearing thigs that women would wear today. Also, the king that granted the charter for the Colony of Maryland was Gay and dressed like a fairy.
