Libby-Good Luck. I'll send a letter. I don't see too much response to your poll, because people won't believe it can happen. Girls/Women would have to practice hard as the only way it will work at a big level is if it's hardball and not softball. I am a male, but I've seen some very good female hardball players. The girls might have to start (although there have been a few, already) to try to get into the minor leagues, and go from there. I've seen legitimate exhibition games (equal avg. age of 18) where the girls have done well against the boys in basketball, lacrosse and soccer. Why not baseball!

This is two years later since JoeGuy's message, and you can read on the Internet how several girls have just won the "states," each time with pins. Last year, as a goodwill / exhibition event, our freshman boy's wrestling team lost to a nearby college girls team 6 matches to 2. We were stunned and got crushed as much as it hurts to admit it.

I was 17 when I go hooked up in a challenge with a very strong 15-year-old, girl. I am not a wimp and was involved in High School Varsity sports , while she was in JV. She schoolgirl pinned me in the gymnasium and had me submit. It was a tough, long match, but she won out. I was embarassed, but got over it. The guys that would have wanted to make fun of me didn't, because I had already out wrestled them. In this case, the girl was the best of us all.

I can see you getting off about another girl..but not your sister. You need some couch time.
