As i mentioned elsewhere, the Bible was written by God through humans for our instruction. And yes, I'm sure that the words of Jesus are not exact. But I'm sure they pretty much summarize what He said. And yes, there are many translations, but if you compare them, they pretty much contain the same message. And yes, i also know that the church decided which books would be in the Bible. are they right? who knows? But did you know that that only refers to the new testament, not the old? they already had the old testament put together before Jesus was even around. it was sometime in the middle ages that they decided to add the new testament. That's why i tend to trust the old testament more. BUT, even if the new testament is not scripture, it is basically commentary on the old testament by great scholars like Paul for example. Paul was a rabbi. But anyways, yeah. thats all i have to say for now.

I'm not asking anyone to become Catholic. I'm not even Catholic. I'm not part of a cult, and i'm not even religious. Religion doesn't save you. Only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Read Ephesians 2:8-9) and if i sounded like i was being forceful, i didn't mean that at all. I simply care about you. And by the way, no i don't stand out in the street with a sign. :)

it was written by God through Peter, intended for our instruction. the entire Bible is that way. It is God-breathed and God-inspired, all the humans did was write it down. Look in the Bible, you'll find it.

everything you said is true. I'm talking about adultery. sex outside of marriage. Lusting after someone you are not married to is adultery of the heart toward that person. God explicitly instructs us in His Word the right and wrong places for sex. We all have a sinful nature. It is that sinful nature that causes us to lust; i.e. the inner desire to commit adultery, which is exactly what lust is; the desire to disobey God and disregard what He tells us not to do. That is what i was communicating.
