Over labor day weekend my family visited my grandmother. On Saturday we went to this city park pool just down the street where my dad and his sister used to go when they where young. Through school all the guys (myself included) used to pee in the showers and sometimes just in the drains in the change area, but I've never done so or spoke of it to my dad. I'm 17 now and dad treats me mostly like an adult. When we walked in the change area, a open area without a roof or showers there was a rather obvious urine puddle in the center of the room. Dad commented, things haven't changed much here in 25 years, it's all the same as it used to be and the boys still pee on the floor like we used to. I laughed and said, "I think all boys do that, we always have at school." As dad undressed he said, "well as you get older you realize that it's not the right thing to do, but since we're back at my old stomping grounds what the hell." When I looked up I saw something I thought I'd never see, dad was urinating on the floor! He continued dressing and although I was in my swim trunks I decided to whip it out and pee too. As I did an older guy walked in, turned out to be the manager of the pool and old freind of my dad. He didn't comment about what I was doing and we all walked out. We stayed until close and he walked into the dressing area with us and a half dozen other boys and men. Too my surprise just after removing his suit my dads friend began urinating, dad followed shortly as did a couple other boys and yes, myself. I've seen a couple adult men do it, but never dad or a pool manager! What's more I was talking to dad on the way out saying, "I thought I got busted for a minute there", mom overheard and asked, "for what?" I said, "oh, nothing," but dad went on to tell the story, I was a bit embarrassed. But too my surprise mom laughed and said surely your not the first guy he's caught, I would think that most guys do it.
The first time I saw these plastic freestanding urinals was in Amsterdam a couple years ago. Since it's a party town on the weekends and public restrooms are few, they had a big problem with public urination. It wasn't so much the guys peeing of the bridges into the many canals that was a problem (since much of the drains flow into them anyway) it was the guys and gals peeing against the side of landmark buildings and in alleyways that was a problem. Urine eats away at the sides of stone buildings and streets and leaves a stench for days. These urinals where put out to offer shy guys a somewhat private place to go and they do block the view of your privates. Yes, they should come up with a female version as well. I used one once to try out something new, but on past visits I became comfortable with just peeing off the bridges and even with the placement of these new urinals, there where more guys peeing off bridges than using these. I understand now they're trying to stop the years long habit of guys peeing into the canals, but frankly having done both I prefer to just pee off the bridges.
I'm in my late teens and ever since I can remember I've seen other guys peeing while changing clothes, some stepped into the showers, some into a corner, but most just aimed at a drain. A couple years ago we moved and since I've noticed very few guys doing it, so I've been hesitant to do so myself around others. This summer I've gone to the local pool quiet a bit and have again noticed guys are peeing on the floor. Mostly little boys, like under 12, but I've also seen several of the boys fathers, guys in their 30]s do so, which I never saw before this year. I've once again become comfortable just letting loose, but I've never mentioned it at home. The other day after closing, my mom was talking to the woman closing up and helping her a bit. She had locked the womens room and asked me to go through the mens and make sure no one was in there. After I called out no one's in here, she, my mom and younger sisters walked through. My mom yelled out to one of my sisters, "don't walk through the puddles", she stopped short and asked why not, I just came from the pool. To my surprise mom replied, "Cause that's where boys have peed". She looked at mom surprised and the woman from the pool agreed, "she's right dear, boys don't go to the toilet, they just go". They all looked at me and she asked, "right". Reluctantly I agreed. My sister asked, "do you" and while I thought how to replied my mom said, "of course he does, all guys do, just don't walk through it". I never imagined mom knew what we do or that she wouldn't mind it.
Got to be the worlds worst kept seceret, guys pee in the locker room, really.... All my freinds at school did it, in swim team we did so infront of the coach, the guards at our town pool do it, my dad, my uncle. My sisters know we do it, mom too. Recently at the neighborhood pool my mom walked through the mens room with me after closing since I didn't have clothes to change into and I paused in the dressing area and said "give me a moment" she smiled and said, "sure go ahead" and she waited while I relieved myself on the floor. She asked, "I can't believe it doesn't bother you to do that with your mother in the room". I replied, "like you didn't know we do", she said "well of course I know you guys just pee wherever, but you're supposed to deny it to your mother". Whatever, we all do it and all the women know we do, so what's the big deal.
Well, I'm a guy in my late teens and me and my friends always peed in the changing rooms at the pool and at school gym and sports. The coaches would walk in and see a guy doing it sometimes, but never stopped them. Once, before a swim meet while we were undressing the coach came in for a pep talk. Normally we'd undress and grab our suits off the table on the way out, peeing along the way, but this time we were standing naked listening to the coach, needing to pee. A couple guys dancing around, finally a guy turned away and let it go. The coach saw but didn't care. A moment later a couple more guys let go. Finally he said, "sorry to hold you up guys, I can see some of you really needed to get going, but we need to go over this, so do what you need to do but listen up..." At that point I think every one of us peed someplace in the room and he didn't care. I changed schools a couple years ago and these guys aren't so bold, I've seen a dozen or so guys pee in the dressing area, but it's not so common. I do it all the time myself and most of my freinds and family know. I do so around my brother and dad and my mom knows I do it and doesn't have a problem with it. Usually, I'll take off my shorts and let go while I'm putting on or taking off my shirt, slip on my new shorts and go. If there's adults I don't know I may step into a corner or into the shower room, but usually I do it right where I'm dressing, that's what we always did since the coach gave his speach.
