The answer depends on what you are wearing under the shirt. If you wear a T-shirt there is nothing to talk about. An undershirt usually looks weird. So the question may refer to unbuttoning a shirt revealing parts of the chest. That is acceptable for boys and young men but not appropriate for older guys. It depends further on how many buttons are open. One or two buttons are out of question. If it is appropriate to have more buttons open depends on the situation. It may not be appropriate at school or at work but at home or in privacy or at parties.
The first term was already too much. By the way, Al Gore was cheated out of his victory by the Talahassee connection. The second was another mischief I hope all his electors will at least regret. In his case it is the most positive aspect that constitution does not allow a third term. He was the most disastrous president in history.
This is no serious poll as it assumes that girls might completely strip to the waist (not even wearing bras) in pe which is absolutely nonsense especially in coed pe. Every pe teacher who would arrange that would immediately lose his job and the girls would of course refuse. In our highschool we had sometimes coed pe with shirt and skin games (basketball) but only boys were shirtless. Girls joining the skin team of course kept their shirts and had pinnies for distinction.
There is no general answer. It depends under which rules they are going to fight.
At highschool we had sometimes coed gym lessons. There were pick up games with mixed teams, mostly basketball, where there was a shirt team, boys and girls wearing blue T-shirts as usual, and skin teams, the boys being barechested and the girls wearing pinnies. Of course girls never were shirtless.
