Kids kicking off their shoes in class

it seems the teachers are against kids taking off their shoes when they want to, but my son is forced to take his shoes off in his middle school every morning and stays in his socks until the end of the day. This was what the vice principal decided aftermy son had to kick a kid that was 3 times his size to get him to stop choking him! I dont know what the problem is in schools these days but the other kid was not punished. Tara J

Barefoot at home - simple question

I have three kids 12, 11, and 9 and they are in and out all day long and used to track in mud and dirt quite often, so after we had new carpeting installed I now enforce the rule on my kids that they must be barefoot no exceptions when inside, even if comming in for a minute to get a drink. Tara
