Even though I am high-functioning autistic, I'm not really against therapy of any kind, but I don't mind the therapy being used on severe autistics as long as it helps them.

My mum said I had therapy when I was a kid, although it was the right kind for me (speech, OT etc.)

Its also a good job I went to special school with autism support and I was lucky to be in there and I left before the inclusion thing started. A special school can help me to get on socially, but this is changing and we're seeing high functioning autistics and aspies falling through the gap in education, employment etc. Some aspies and autistics are abused and bullied mainly because the abusers see them act different.

There are some high functioning autistics or aspies who aren't very happy because they can't be who they really are. There was a time when I felt like I can't be myself anymore and it was terrible, but later on I learned that its best to be myself in appropriate places, like my bedroom for example where people can't see me and it makes me happy.
