Egg, definitley. A chicken egg is more or less the same as a human egg (eg. the egg is a chicken's period). In order for the chicken to be created the egg must be fertilised so the egg must be there first.
I don't think counter- culture has been corrupted at all. To be perfectly honest, a lot of the counter culture that was seen in the USA during the 60s was seen as a 'cool' thing to be part of, and that is the reason why some (perhaps many) followers of such movements became followers in the first place. At any time, large sections of the young population are very passionate and idealistic, spanning all subcultures. What exact issues (eg. anti-war versus anti-school uniform) that they are passionate about will vary with the time frame and what is happening in the wider world. Another thing world mentioning is the lifespan of movements. After one generation grows older, another generation will progress whatever cultural outlets were developed by parent generations. They will not want to remain culturally static, to do so does not make evolutionary sense. Instead they will create new movements made to embody certain principles. Every counterculture has a lifespan, after which it becomes wholly unoriginal and extremely passionate young people may not choose it as their culture of choice. It is not nearly cutting edge enough; something parents are nostaligic about will not be attractive to an adolescent seeking to forge their own identity.
Very one-sided pole........
This is probaganda, pure and simple. None of the options for why the USA invaded Iraq or why they've set their sights on Iran are factually based. There is no evidence that Iraq had or has weapons of mass destruction. Yet another example of the prevailing climate of pure ignorance in the USA.
