========== In Reply To ========== Cool poll you've got here! I especially like the "comment on the message board idea" . . . Hey there! This message may be a little long. What did I like best about the ending? Well, let's back up a little bit . . . I personally think that if a movie were to be made from a Final Fantasy game, it would be X. This is not my opinion as to which I would like to see made into a movie -- it is what I believe would be chosen to create a movie out of. (That was worded confusingly, I know) Why would it make a good movie? Because it makes a great movie as it is. I mean, it's already equipped with a script, voice talents, and the plot isn't very long so it wouldn't take a week to watch in the theatre. X would be the one made into the movie, and I wouldn't mind seeing it although I would rather see VII or VIII made into the movies. But about the ending . . . I liked it! It was sad, and sometimes the sad endings are the best. The only thing about the ending that didn't quite register was that last scene of Tidus in the water. Does that mean he heard Yuna's whistle and was summoned from the sea? Or that the entire adventure was a dream? Or that fate spared him from total non-existence because of his courage and sacrifice? Whatever the case, it was quite a cliff-hanger. I liked the ending's idea, but I would've liked it to be a little clearer, or something. It was sad and I dwelled on it for a few days afterwards. But I liked Final Fantasy VIII's ending better. It was a little gloomy to begin with, but in the end and while the credits were rolling, they had an end scene of the victory party. While I like the game's sad ending, I also would've enjoyed one of those stereo-typical "happily ever after"s. Well, I've put in my bit.
