We got it with the paddle, too, and in grade school you got it from the teacher right through your trousers , right in the room, leaning across the edge of her desk. Most of the teachers used paddles with holes, and it hurt bad enough that no one ever got it without crying really hard.

When we got to junior high -- it was a school system with grade school grades 1 - 6 plus junior high 7 - 9 and senior high 10 - 12 -- - we had to go to the locker room, either for the gym teacher, for your own teacher if the teacher was the same sex as you were, or (for boys) sometimes with the principal or even the janitor. There you had to drop your troussers and pull down your underwear and lean across the edge of the training table. That was a LOT WORSE, and you cried like crazy, right at the age where you though you should not need to cry any more.
It made no differnece if guys were there for gym class or for sports, either; you just got it as soon as you got there.

Guys seldom got it in senior high, except for stuff you did in gym class or in sports, and then you usually got it in your jock. That was bad, too, and again you always ended up crying liek crazy, and that was really embarrassing when you cried with your changed boy's voice. Yet, I don't think it was really abussive; it was just what happened when you messed up bad, and you knew that you deserved what you got. Yo got over itk learned your lesson, and life went on. I think we were all the better for it, too. I'm actaully sorry that doesn't happen much in schools any more, as I think some guys learn their lessons best that way after other ways don't work for them. These days, too many guys never learn the lesson!!

I never got it in senior high, but I was there and saw it happen twice, and the kids really cried hard because of how it burned. The gym teacher used a paddle like the paddle I ended up getting in my fraternity in college, except that his had lots of holes, which made it even worse.

When you got it in school, did guys have to cry that bad? Candidly, I think the lesson only really starts after theout-loud crying starts, and then a boy should get about 10 more licks, all good and hard. It'll be bad enough for him to ANYTHING it takes to avoid getting it again, including therefore learning to behave himself. That's the point, of course.
