Spending money on war, when there are so many other deficiencies in this country-G.W. should be deeply ashamed. Spending $40 Million on his inaugural ball/presidency-stealing celebration is infuriating as well.

He should really be impeached. Too bad about Congress being paid off (hence $40 Million on an inaugural ball!)

I recently read in USA Today, (a terrible excuse for a newspaper, but anyway) that China is buying most of the world's current aluminum, creating a world-wide shortage.

I don't know whether to jump for joy because America may start to value the recycling of aluminum cans, or to cry because our un-environmental prez will just use plastic.

...Regardless, there is undoubtably a great deal of it in our landfills. I wonder if we will use that (finally!), or pretend plastic is the answer.

I mean, at our current rate of mass-consumption, eventually we will run out of resources and have to re-use the ones we have. (I wonder how long we have left?)

Very much the problem, indeed

Yes, this is exactly why we are in this predicament in the first place!

After visiting Europe, it make became obvious to me that America's lack of public transit is ON PURPOSE... (remember the movie Roger Rabbit? , like GM literally did...)

Now that I know how many of 'the rich' benefit from oil profits, something I was definately ignorant of before), it makes a lot more sense. ...But living without a car isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I like living in a highrise-it's pretty cool! And the money I save not paying for vehicle payments, insurance, parking, and gas make living in the city quite affordable. I'm glad I don't drive anymore, and I suggest others try it! :)

My all time favorite food has to be Indian food-either Vegeatables Korma, or Bhartha, followed very closely by lentil soup, and Goolab Jamun. I LOVE Indian food. (Of course, you still have to find the right restrauant...)

The dog from Garfield is named 'Odie'. (Just so you know) :)
