User: Mister Poll
Wow, that was a nasty one, wasn't it? That was just another example of the abusive ad formats that are running through all major online ad networks lately. Luckily, we do have the ability to ban specific ads from our site, which we just did with this LifeScript one.
Thanks to everyone who brought it to our attention. Please let us know if it rears its ugly head again.
========== In Reply To ========== I keep getting this popup for something called LifeScript and it covers my screen and blocks the site. I cant click on anything underneath it even when i close it. It makes it almost impossible to search this site sometimes. What is that?
Sorry, I forgot to answer one of your questions. When an older poll is approved, it will show up at the top of the "New Polls" list. Those polls are ordered by their review dates, not when they were created.
You're right -- the review process is moving slowly. Because of that, we're hesitant to take additional time to develop a notification system right now. We're kind of saving up the new features until we're caught up.
========== In Reply To ========== I still have a number of polls that have never reappeared since the review process was set up, and it sounds like that process is just moving slowly. I tried updating polls to see if it would help, but from a previous message I gather that isn't helping as much as I had expected. Anyway, this leads me to two questions: When an old poll is finally reapproved, does it show up at the top of the "New Polls" list, or in the place on the list where it would fall chronologically in order of creation? And has the notification system ever been set up to let you know whether your poll has been rejected or not?
Yes, admittedly, we have been running a bit behind on reviewing polls. With the holidays coming up, our already small reviewing staff has been less available as of late. As sort of a compromise, we've been putting the priority on reviewing new polls over modified polls. That has helped some, but we still have some catch up to do.
Bear with us. We'll get there.
You're right. There are a lot of sexual and otherwise adult-oriented polls. However, if we are to earn any ad revenue, we can't put them in the public directory.
We are considering a separate "Adult Mister Poll" site that would grant access to all of those adult polls. There would likely be a minimal subscription fee in order to get an account. If this happens, it would probably be during the first quarter of 2002.
Thoughts anybody? Does that sound like something that would interest you?
========== In Reply To ========== I am sure people have made them or are interested in responding to sexual poles like $%!@ion ect...are these removed? or what? lol
Thanks.
