As of tonight, this problem has been fixed! You can still get to the poll results and message area, even if you've already voted. The same goes for closed polls.

As of tonight, this problem has been fixed! If you have already voted in a poll, you will be told when you visit the poll rather than when you try to submit your vote. You can still get to the poll results or message area.

Hi Paikea,

  1. Sorry, no, there is not currently a way to delete somebody's vote. I could see where this might be useful on occasion, but I think it would be tough to come up with a straightforward interface for that which would not confuse your average web surfer. If you like, I can delete it behind the scenes for you. Email me directly at misterpoll@misterpoll.com with a link to your poll and details about what vote you want removed.

  2. Yes indeed, they do. The downloaded results will include everything, including blanks, essays, etc.

I hope that helps!

Thanks for the ideas! I am thinking through some radical changes to our current rating / review system, and an age rating is currently in the mix. I hadn't thought of gender-targeting, but that's a good idea. Whatever the final outcome, icons to represent various poll attributes is a good thought. I'll try to incorporate some icon indicators.

You mean clickable? Personally, I agree with you. I actually had it that way prior to launch, but I ended up changing it to be not-clickable so it would be easier to copy/paste. In Firefox at least, it's actually easier to copy a real link if you know about the right-click / Copy Link Location option. However, I'm not sure most people do know that. It was my assumption that most people would be trying to highlight the text and ctrl-c to copy. That's sometimes difficult to do on a real link without accidentally clicking it.

Maybe I'll try making them real links and see if anybody complains.
