This poll hits it right on the money. It is only recently being established that women are intellectually superior. Look at the performance gap in schools and the way female managers are multi-tasking their way past man on the way to the top. Women are more capable of advancing intellectually. Education = Money. Money = Power.
The best way to empower women in America is to encourage girls and young women to continue to advance educationally, and to promote self-awareness and self esteem. Women are already in the lead, now the idea is to keep widening the gap.
I appreciate your thoughtful comments. Your analysis of the battle of the sexes is quite correct. The female population is rapidly gaining ground, and one of the biggest contributing factors is the behavior and attitudes of men. Women don't need to wrestle power away from men. Men are unwittingly handing it over to us with no resistance for the most part, and those who do resist have been rendered irrelevant in this politically correct modern society. It is a shame so many men fear the empowerment of women because it shows a lack of understanding of human nature. Women are kind and nurturing, and men would benefit greatly from accepting the gift of feminine wisdom and influence.
Men are definitely more submissive these days, or perhaps their submissive tendencies are being awakened more frequently. I think the majority of men harbor submissive fantasies, although many are reluctant to acknowledge it out of denial, inhibition, and embarrassment. I think this trend is growing because men are being subliminally conditioned by constant reminders and suggestions of female superiority. Whether or not this is fair or justified, it is true nonetheless. I think this creates an inner conflict in a lot of men, because while they are privately aroused by the idea of being submissive to women, there is still a part of them which is unwilling to actually accept that role in a real-life situation. What makes things complicated is the fact that women are gaining power for real in society. Men are controlled by their libidos. Even if they are opposed to the advancement of women in principle, it is difficult for them to resist something which they secretly get off on.
It is important to understand that the men who are cheering women on are enlightened to the fact that the advancement of the female in society will benefit all, males included. There is no need to fear the empowerment of women.
