I have a friend who has rules like that. He must take his shoes and socks off straight away and leave them by the door, then put his slippers on. His parents say that socks shouldn't be worn in the house. The same rules apply to me when I go to his house - I have to take my shoes and socks off and put slippers on.
I think this is a good rule and I've started wearing slippers in the house too, and so has my brother. My parents don't allow shoes in the house, but now when I come in I automatically take my shoes and socks off and put my slippers on.
I wear slippers in the house. I take off my shoes and socks at the door always and put my slippers on. My older brother is the same, only he usually keeps his black socks on when he puts his slippers on (I'm starting to do the same as I think it looks well cool).
Anyone coming into our house has to take their shoes first.
I don't usually take my slippers round to my friends house - he wears slippers too and has guest slippers for everyone to wear. It is the rules at his house that everyone must wear slippers indoors.
If I come home in muddy clothes, I usually just strip down to underwear an stay like that.
At my old school we weren't allowed inside wearing "outdoor shoes" so most people just took off shoes and left them in the cloakroom, and stayed in socks, though some wore indoor trainers and some wore their slippers. In the gym we had to be in bare feet for all lessons.
Both me and my older bother now wear slippers in the house. I got mine first for a birthday present (plain navy-blue) and started wearing them all the time. Now my older brother got our parents to buy some for him too. He likes to wear them with his black socks, which I think looks really cool. I usually take my socks off first, but sometimes I keep my socks on too like my brother and we look the same.
I have an older brother who never used to wear slippers in the house. Like me he always took his shoes off when he entered and just stayed in his black socks. But since I started wearing slippers in the house he's been saying that maybe he'd get a pair too. Well, our parents must have been listening as when he came home today there was a new pair of of soft navy blue slippers waiting for him by the door.
At first he wasn't so sure and said he'd sooner just stay in socks indoors but he got yelled at so he put them on. Now he's got used to wearing them and is really happy, and always takes shoes off at the door and puts his slippers on straight away, though he prefers to keep his socks on whilst wearing them.
I think they look really cool (especially with black socks) and so now both me and my brother are the same.
We have no choice - indoors PE we are always in bare feet, but its cool as I prefer being in bare feet. Some of the boys always complain about being barefoot, but I think its better for you and no need to worry about dirty trainers messing up the floor.
