There is a need to look at these questions. Not to prove someone wrong but to show that Christians can be sincere in their beliefs and hold then honestly and that they do make sense. Some questions will always be difficult but most have simple answers.
Genesis Chapters One and Two, as I have understood them, are not two accounts. The Hebrew way of writing is sometimes rather different to the way a western mind would write. The first chapter is, if you like, an overview, a sweeping panorama declaring that the Lord of all made this world and all that is in it. The second chapter and those following are the story in detail. This is quite usual.
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com is not really a good site to choose to criticize the Bible. There are comments from all over the place and it is not very well structured. Is God's Word flawed however? Almost all criticism I have heard on these lines is often more a case of misunderstanding. One or two points are hard to reconcile but there is so much that is easy to understand.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Seems pretty clear to me)
Hope this helps
Tacitus, Josephus, Thallus, Pliny the Younger and Lucian of Samosata are all creditable sources outside of the Biblical accounts for the existence of Jesus. That some of the sources are tampered with could be true but surely not all? There is certainly truth in the Biblical accounts.
You point to the Romans excellent record keeping as evidence. The Romans killed thousands. How many names are recorded? Perhaps there are long lists of the victims of Roman barbarities but I've never seen them. I don't think this argument holds much water.
It is true that there are, and always will be, similarities between religions but this doesn't help very much in deciding which is right.
Read John's Gospel. Is this the writing of a forger or is there here the ring of truth?
A long time ago now but the history is there to see. Check it out.

Faith is based on fact and this must always be so otherwise it's just another myth. Not something I'd want to trust in.
Sorry to hear it. Hope I don't end up there, it doesn't sound too comfortable to me!
I agree. The Jesus of the Bible was a revolutionary character and most of the establishment would have hated Him.
The difference with Jesus was that He wasn't just a revolutionary He was God's Son. No one in all human history did more to prove this than Jesus. No revolutionary has ever turned water into wine or raised the dead or come back to life again.
While you live in a small apartment there is still room for Jesus to come and stay. You see he lives in the hearts of every true believer. He doesn't take up much room, and what car does he drive? Well look outside your window. Maybe he'll ride with you today?
