I think you might be wrong here: The Bible clearly warns us about the times and seasons but also states that no man knows the hour of the Lord's return. In fact to know the date would make you God. Bit worrying really. Date setting is still going on and can lead people into all sorts of errors. Keep clear of it and focus on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

I have found your comments interesting and thoughtful.

The key point here is that you don't believe in the Christian God. Christians don't have a right to force anyone to believe or follow their religion. What Christians must do is point out what their faith has to say to the world. Some will find this truth for themselves and to do so brings peace and a sense of fulfillment that, I believe, cannot be had anywhere else. It is this truth I hope you will find to. Following Jesus isn't always an easy road but there's none better. Ask God to reveal Himself to you and look for and expect an answer.

I wonder sometimes why the Church just seems to speak about homosexuality. What about all the other categories? It seems to me, however, that to love someone of the same sex is not wrong but perhaps it has to be brotherly love not sexual. Not all things which are pleasurable are necessarily good. Drugs may be pleasurable but few would say a heroin addiction was a good thing.

Many have been killed by Christians but just take the last century and the millions and millions killed by atheistic states. Both are wrong as is trying to control people through the use of fear. There should be a healthy respect for religion and I certainly would not wish to have the Lord God as my enemy.

It's hard not to seem judgmental. I don't want to be. I feel it is God's desire that we should know the father heart of God and the love He has for everyone whatever their race, color or orientation.

The quest for truth is one that is deep inside everyone and the mystery of the universe, life, death, heaven and hell are questions crying out for answers. Keep seeking and don't feel that the Bible is full of contradictions. Often when you look at these problems they are just misunderstandings.

Perhaps continue your search for the truth. Look at the gospel writings of Mark and John and Christian websites that clearly tell you about the message of salvation through faith in Christ. Look also at other views and of the Bible. True faith has nothing to fear from criticism. If you honestly seek I'm pretty sure you will find the truth in Jesus, probably as you drive down the street in your auto.
