Your husband is a dominant man because you let him be. If you stand up for yourself and do what you know is right regardless of what he wants he will soften over time. My wife is the dominant one in my family because she does what she wants without much concern for what I will do about it. What's the worst that will happen is that your husband could leave you, which is highly unlikely. If he would than he's not worth keeping. Each time that you stand up for yourself and do what you want will weaken him a little bit more.

I got married when I was 29. At the time I thought it was best to wait until you're about 30 to get married. I wanted to travel, get my masters degree, start a career and buy a house first. Now I regret having waited so long. I waisted a lot of time before marriage doing things that don't really matter in life (hanging out with friends, staying up late surfing the internet, etc.). Life is short and precious, and much more fun when you have children. I'm a man, but women especially need to be mindful of their biological clocks. I've known far too many women who put off marriage until they acomplished all these milestones, then found that once they've reached the predetermined age for marriage, it takes longer than they expected to find and marry the right person, and then to have children. Remember, the older you get, the harder it will be to find mr. right, and the harder it will be to have children.

Maybe men aren't so bad after all?!?! There is an almost identicle poll for women only (see poll # 98421) In which 75% of the respondents said they have cheated on their husbands, 75% of them did not regret it, and 90% of women think it is perfectly natural for women to want to have sex with other men. What a contrast! I think it is very unfair that men have such a reputation for unfaithfulness, when there are so many polls on Mr Poll where the majority of women admit to having cheated on their husbands.

It is strange that your sister thinks men are superior. I've never heard of a woman say that before. As to which gender is truely superior... It has been scientifically proven by different studies both in the US and UK that men are more intellegent (by about 5%, a statistically significant amount) due mostly to their larger brain size on average. Most studies that indicate that girls have an intellectual or maturity edge over boys are conducted on children at an age when the girls (and their brains) are as big as or bigger than boys. Furthermore, men are physically stronger. Also, testosterone has the effect of giving men greater controll of their emotions, and makes them calmer. Other benifits include No periods, no PMS, no menopause. Men's greatest weakness is their constant drive for sex. This is why women have so much power in relationships. Women's advantages include the fact that they are better multy-taskers (though they don't focus as well on what they're doing.); They have a greater attention to detail, and best of all their bodies are far sexier and their orgasms last longer.
