This is a great poll. Confession to make though, I have voted on it more than once. Lol
One must worship God in spirit and in truth. You make the mistake those who crucified Jesus did. Not understanding that His teachings were on a spiritual level, not carnal. Those things will be done in time, in fact at the end of time. And yes Jesus was mortal. You use logic that mortals don't raise from dead... well using similar reasoning God can't die. So, it would appear that what is taught of Jesus ia true. He was a God-man. Fully God and fully human. God is Spirit and He chose that human vessel to dwell in to serve His purpose of setting in motion the plan of salvation to be apart of the new heavens and new earth one day. He had to take human for to experience death to overcome it for us and shed blood to cleanse of sin. But make no mistake Jesus was God. I hope that clarifies a bit the "mortality" issue.
These polls bother me. Alot of these I feel are pedophilic in nature. I pray for anyone who dabbles in that, that they find Christ and overcome it.
It has been historically proven that Jesus was an actual person. And a lot of the New Testament was written within 100 years of his death. Not than long. First hand account kinda thing. I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God that has and will continue to stand the test of time. God bless. :)
Homosexuality is a sin. Plain and simple. It's in God's Word and will stand the test of time as such. However.. so are a lot of other things, fornication, adultery, drunkeness, etc... and rarely are those things discriminated against to the level that homosexuality is. I don't agree with that. It's not right to be so biased against them for their sin, while not someone who commits pre-marital sex.
We will give an account of our sins regardless of what they are on judgment day. Best to get them under the blood of Jesus. Confess them and forsake them.
As to whether homosexuals should be married. My main opposition to this is the message it sends. That we are condoning a sin, saying in effect that homosexuality should be accepted as normal and healthy, when it is neither. Somewhere along the way in the age of political correctness and tolerance, it has become frowned upon to call something what God calls it, and that's ridiculous because God is the authorative Word here.
Now of course many don't believe in Him and I understand that. And should America force Christianity on us? No. Christianity can't be forced. It doesn't work that way. God gave us free will, it's an amazing gift. So you can choose to be homosexual or commit any other sin. But ultimately you will have to atone for that choice. But as far as being opposed to gay marriage. My primary concern is not so much what it is, as opposed to what it represents, which is more of a outspokeness against God. An acceptance of sin, when it's sin we should forsake and God we should accept.
