Former Washington Mystics General Manager Melissa McFerrin announced Dec. 5, 2001 that the team had acquired the fourth (Asjha Jones) and 36th (Teresha Geter) overall picks in the 2002 WNBA Draft in addition to veteran forward Angie Braziel (pronounced Brazil) from the Indiana Fever in exchange for the Mystics 17th (Zuzi Klimesova) and 49th (LaKeisha Taylor) overall draft selections and guard Nikki McCray. With the trade, the Mystics now hold two first round picks (third (Stacey Dales) and fourth (Jones)) and two third round picks (33rd (LaNisha Cartwell) and 36th (Geter)) in the 2002 Draft.
