Should my son be allowed to stay shirtless?
At the start of July, my ten year old son went to stay with some relatives in their summer home for about six weeks. Unknown to me however, they let their boy run around shirtless all summer long. Until this summer, my son had only gone shirtless at the pool or the beach. When my son got to our relatives, they apparently encouraged him to go shirtless as well, without consulting me mind you. He says he thought it was strange at first, but wanting to be a polite house guest he conformed to their wishes, and after a couple of days he says it felt normal. A week ago they bring him back to me half naked and tanner than I've ever seen him. He's grown very fond of this 'lifestyle' and insists that he'll only wear a shirt for school and the like. Even though I don't think it's appropriate, his father doesn't have a problem with it and says I'm being too uptight. So far I've been tolerating the situation, but I would like some advise.
