Is John McCain qualified to be president?

This is a rather biased poll about John McCain, but the media seems to be giving him a pass...so here it is.

1) Do you believe that John McCain is qualified to be president of the United States? You may choose multiple responses.

60% (36) 1) Yes. He's a great war hero

38% (23) 4) Yes. He's a likeable old curmudgeon
40% (24) 5) Yes. I like his policies
28% (17) 6) No. I don't like his policies
20% (12) 7) No. He is a liar
21% (13) 8) No. He's too old
33% (20) 9) No. He would be like 4 more years of Bush. He's no maverick
25% (15) 10) No. He's a crotchety old curmudgeon with anger management issues
28% (17) 11) No. He's a warmonger
1% (1) 12) Yes. The media loves him so I do too
8% (5) 13) Other
1% (1) 14) Not sure

2) John McCain stated "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should". Considering that the U.S isn't exactly doing great economically, do you think John McCain should be president?

50% (30) 1) Yes. A McCain presidency would be great for the economy.
37% (22) 2) No. A McCain presidency would be disasterous for the economy. It would be good if someone who knew about economics would be president.
3% (2) 3) Other
8% (5) 4) Not sure

3) McCain said that it would be fine if we were in Iraq for 100 years. Should we elect someone to be our president who will keep us in Iraq that long?

55% (33) 1) Yes.
38% (23) 2) No.
5% (3) 3) Other
1% (1) 4) Not sure

4) McCain not only joked about bombing Iran, he says that Iran is training Al Queda operatives even though Al Queda is Sunni and Iran is Shiite. McCain said this was common knowledge on March 18, 2008(of course Joe LIEberman then whispered something in his ear and he corrected himself). He made the same claim on the Hugh Hewitt (excuse me while I vomit) show on March 17. What's going on? You can make multiple answers on this one and PLEASE respond in the message area.

17% (10) 1) McCain is just having a senior moment, so we should just move on and forget he said this.
31% (18) 2) If McCain can't get his facts straight about something this important regarding our foriegn policy, he has no business being our president
46% (27) 3) McCain is telling the truth as he always does. Iran really is training Al Queda.
15% (9) 4) McCain was lying about this and he knew it.
12% (7) 5) Other
6% (4) 6) Not sure

5) McCain used to speak out against torture but just voted against the Intelligence Authorization Act of 2-13-08 which would have made it illegal for intelligence agencies to us waterboarding and other forms of torture which are forbidden by the U.S. military. What do you think about that?

25% (15) 1) I guess McCain isn't really a "straight talker" after all. He's more of a flip flopper
46% (27) 2) We need to use torture in the "war on terror"
29% (17) 3) Torture is unconstitutional and violates the Geneva Convention
12% (7) 4) It's differant when the CIA tortures people and the military does it. The CIA shouldn't have to be bound by something as quaint as the Geneva Convention or the Constitution
27% (16) 5) No one who advocates torture should be president
27% (16) 6) McCain doesn't really advocate torture. You are just exaggerating.
3% (2) 7) Other
1% (1) 8) Not sure

6) McCain voted for the Military Commissions act of 10-17-06 which effectively eliminates Habeus Corpus and 2 or 3 of the Bill of Rights. He also voted NO on the Habeus Corpus restoration act of 9-19-07. Read Article 1, section 9 of the U.S. constitution if you don't think this is important. What do you think?

33% (18) 1) The constitution was written a long time ago. We are in a "war on terror" now. Get with the program. Who cares about Habeus whatever you call it?
44% (24) 2) The Constitution is a sacred document and the basis for our countries laws. We should restore our Constitutional rights at once, and not elect people who will take them away from us.
25% (14) 3) You are trying to mix up the issues and make McCain look bad
25% (14) 4) We should impeach ALL of the congresspeople and senators (as well as Bush and Cheney) who voted for the Military Commissions Act and against the Habeus Corpus Restoration Act!
