Mister Poll: boys and long socks or tights

I was wondering if other boys and younger kids like to wear long sports socks, long dress socks, and knee-high tube socks. Also, where I live, more and more boys seem to wear tights under their pants in the winter; what do you guys think of boys getting to wear tights under shorts, or alone when playing at home?

Do you like tube socks with colored stripes on top? In old pictures like from the 80s, lots of kids wore them for gym and stuff, and now I see alot wear them for skateboarding and stuff, even the long ones that tug up all the way to the knees.

Yes; I like tube socks, but I wear the short 'crew' length ones.

Yes; I like long tube socks, and wear the biggest ones I can find (I used to 'borrow' my brothers), so they have to be folded to stay under my knees.

Lots of sports have long socks, with the most obvious being soccer and baseball.

I have soccer socks, but wear proper sized ones, and just for soccer.

I have soccer socks and love to wear them any time. The colors are kewl, and they are really warm for winter.

I love soccer socks! I have a whole bunch of pairs, and ask for them to be adult size. I can pull them up to the tops of my legs if its a cold game-day.

I wear short pants for baseball (the kind that end at or even above the knee) so I wear really long baseball socks. They kinda look like I'm wearing tights.

I don't play any sports at all, but I have sport socks just because I like them!

Tights are only really long socks, if you think about it. Do you wear tights for any reason? Of course any ballet-boy would wear tights as part of his classes. Some boys that race bikes on road wear what look like unitards, and I've seen lots of kids at the mountain-climbing walls wearing footless tights with short, white socks. Those kind are usually lycra. Cotton tights (like boys wear for ballet) are more like socks. One thing I've noticed is that boys, especially little boys (4-9) have tights on under their pants in the winter. More older kids are trying it, but I've been doing it since I was about 5. What kind of tights do you wear, and for what purpose?
