Mister Poll: Video Gaming - Market Research

THis is a bit of research I am doing for an RPG I have in development. It will be a fantasy RPG heavily inspired by Fable. There will be nearly 300+ 'missions' to complete, whether they by simple fetch quests, bounty hunting, search and rescue, etc.

What options in battle would you, a well rounded character such as Link or Fable's hero, like to be able to select.

Different types of weapons (Such as swords, katanas, broadswords, spears, axes, etc.)

Different kinds of skills for one specific type of weapon (This would eliminate the abbility to select multiple weapons)

Magical spells (With more variety than Fable)

Usable and finite items (Such as grenades, thorwing knives, arrows, ammo, etc.)

With the game focusing on one main, playable character with recurring allies and enemies, what kind of optional and temporary party members would you like to be able to team up with.

AI controlled characters with few abbilities

Player controlled characters with as much custamization as the hero

What for of transportation between areas (aside from walking) would you like to be able to do.

Teleportation at any moment

Teleportation at a specific point (Such as a save point or an 'air port')

What form of shops would you prefer?

Definded and easy to find (Armor shops, weapon shops, item shops, etc.)

Shops with realistic names and stock (blacksmiths, grocery stores, occult shops, etc.)

What kind of items would you like to be able to find and buy/sell?

Food (Cheap items that restore little health and can only be used from the menu/not in battle. This makes the game realistic, considering I've never seen a warrior stop in the middle of battle to eat a chicken leg that instantly healed him.)

Magic Items (Classic RPG items that can be used in the heat of battle, although cost quite a penny.)

Metal Items (Weapons AND armor bought from the same guy, a blacksmith. You woulnd't go to him for leather shoes or a magic wand.)

Other equiptment (clothing from sewers, wands and robes from witches, shoes from cobblers, etc.)

Nicknacks (Anything from vintage clothes to od weapons and accessories.)

Any other comments or ideas?
