The 2nd amendment: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." There is an ongoing debate about the exact meaning of the wording. What do you believe?
The 2nd amendment means that EVERY person is entitled to own a gun without governmental regulation or approval.
The 2nd amendment means that individual states are entitled to maintain a militia, but it does NOT give individual persons the right to own guns.
