TV whilst working?

My Fiancee and I run our own business. Currently we work from an office in our home. My Fiancee insists on having the Television on in the background whilst she is working. I think this is un-professional, unhealthy and a waste of electricity as well as being counter-productive. She has never worked in another business and insists that I am wrong in requesting that the TV is not used. Am I right in stating that the TV is not used during working hours?
