In order to gain control of the congress the democrats made a few promises that based on their past behavior they probably don't intend to keep.

The democrats claim that they oppose the war in Iraq, and will get us out. Did you know that more than 70% of Democrats voted to send us to Iraq in the first place?

The democrats also claimed they will allow the Bush tax cuts to expire, while at the same time promising not to raise taxes on the Middle Class, but the Bush tax cuts save the average Middle Class family of four more than $2,000, so in reality allowing this tax cut to expire will cost the average Middle Class family $2,000. Were you aware of this?

It doesn't matter those hard working families can afford to pay $2000 a year

Democrats claim they will increas the minimum wage, however earlier this year a republican sponsored minimum wage increase lost because it could not get Democratic support. Why do you think this happened?

Because Democrats did not want to raise the minimum wage

Because democrats did not want a republican congress to get the credit for the minimum wage(in other words politics is more important to them than the poor families they claim to support)

Because they were worried about the relatively miniscule amount of revenue that would be lost due to the accompanying death tax reduction

Because they are more interested in increasing class warfare than actually helping people

c'mon stop confusing me with facts

Pelosi said that in the first 100 hours of the new congress they will enact all of the recomendations of the 9/11 commission. Yet democrats have already come out in opposition to some of the reomendations that have already been enacted, such as creating a netwrok for government agencies to share intellegence (like the dept. of Homeland security). Do you think they will really make good on this promise?
