I've just started in a new school and had a science/lab class today. My hair is around shoulder length and I do tie it back into a low ponytail for some classes like lab. But the teacher told me that it is this schools policy for "long" hair to be worn "up" and "secure" not loose (even in a ponytail. She said that I couldn't do the class unless I put my hair up like the girls. I ended up having to use a girls hair claw, but have to put my hair up next time or get it cut.

Do you think its fair that I have to wear my hair in the same way that the girls do?
