What do you think of this boy?

I was at a boarding school in the Philippines last semester. I was staying in a village house inside the campus and a boy lived next door to me. One evening I was invited to sit on the porch next door and I talked to a student there. Then later the boy who lives in that house came to the porch and he sat and talked with us. Then when he saw me a week later he said hi to me and I said hi back. Then the next day when I came home from the campus store, he asked me, “Where did you come from?” and I showed him what I bought and we had a short conversation. Then I went inside the house to get a drink. Then a week later when I was on the porch studying early in the morning he came out of his own house next door and he said hi and he called me by my name and I returned his greeting. Then an hour later when he was leaving for school he said bye. Then a few days later I sat in the bamboo hut located across the small road and I sat there. Then the boy came out of his house and he and his 5 year old brother sat on the bench near the bamboo hut. The boy said, “hi” to me again and we had a small conversation. Then while I was silent I heard him speak in Visiyan dialect with his 5 yr old brother Dave for a short while and I heard him say the word “guapa” and “guapa” means beautiful. I asked him “who’s guapa?” and he replied, “guapa means beautiful girl.” I asked him just for fun, “Ask Dave- who’s more beautiful- me or CheChe or equal?” He asked Dave and Dave said I’m more beautiful than CheChe. Later I sat on the end of the bench they are sitting on as they talked to each other. The boy was playing with leaves he took from a bush and he was constructing something with it. Then he told me, “You’d look really beautiful if you put flowers in your hair.” There were flowers in the bush next to the bench. Does that mean he was attracted to me? I’d like it if he was because I like him and he was being friendly to me and I wonder if he thought of me as anything more than a friend. (Later when I returned to the bamboo hut he sat there with me and he asked me why I’m alone. Then I tried to make a conversation with him. I asked him if he knows a certain person and I asked him if he‘s in his class- I asked him if he saw the funeral in the auditorium- I asked him what he does during the day when he’s not in school-etc. He answered those questions. ) Was he attracted to me? I hope so. My aunt said when she saw him talk to me- he was looking down and he couldn't look me in the eye. My aunt said when she saw him talk to another girl (a student who boards in his house) he wasn't shy.
