National firearms act of 1934
Back in 1934, a tax law was passed. It was known as the national firearms act.
All weapons, and accessories included are; short barrelled rifles and shotguns, fully automatic or selective fire weapons, sound suppressors, and any other weapons (pen gun, cane gun, etc), and later destructive devices were included.
You have to pay a $200.00 ($5 for any other weapon) tax to the BATFE to have these weapons transfered, and the same goes each time a weapon is transfered. And, it must ALWAYS be registered. If it is not registered, then it is an illegal weapon. And, just to make sure you there's no "funny business", the BATFE is allowed to make unexpected, unscheduled visits to make sure you still have it, and have not altered it in anyway.
My personal opinion is that this violates the second amendment, and the fourth amendment as well, and this opinion is also fact.
However, just because I want to get others opinions on this, I have created a poll.
P.S. I have a different opinion on the "destructive devices" part, but I'll discuss that in the forums.
Do you believe that automatic and selective fire weapons ought to be restricted from law abiding citizens in anyway?
4 voters have answered this question.
Do you think that SBRs and SBSs should be restricted from law abiding citizens in anyway?
