Having money does not mean you are happy. There are many people in the world who have all the riches they can handle, yet for some reason or other, feel pain and lonliness inside.
Having money does not bring you happiness...however, it makes a lot of things in life easier. It can help solve many of the problems that a lack of money causes, such as poverty and despair.

There are two other questions I thought of after this was finished that I wish to add (as well as others in the future, if they come up). First of all, is your happiness "controlled by outside forces?" If you receive a poor grade on a test at school, are denied a promotion at work, face the end of a relationship, or are simply slighted by a stranger on the street--does it get you down, or do you stay upbeat? In other words, is your inner sense of happiness, security and esteem affected by what happens outside of yourself, or are you able to keep a positive outlook?
Things happen, and it gets to me. Sometimes it even gets to a point where if the incident is important to me, I feel that "my world is crashing down."
I try not to let situations in the world get the better of me. I try to and am usually able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of undesirable experiences.
And secondly, what do you believe is stronger--nature or nurture? Throughout your life, have the experiences you've had played a large role in shaping how you feel about life, and how much happiness (or lack thereof) you have inside? Or do you believe we are born with the ability to keep a sense of fulfillment, regardless of anything we go through?
Our experiences play a large part in making us who we are.
Outside influences have nothing to do with it. We can choose to be happy or not.
Have you ever done this to someone: "accuse" them of having a "perfect" life, simply because yours sucks so bad, and you think theirs is so much better, even though you know nothing about the person.
I've never done that to anyone.
