Do you remember the Final Fantasy RPG? It was based off of Final Fantasy III (VI Japan and more recently in the US). It started out around 1995 on usenet, then moved to a mailing list. People would pick a character (or several) from the games or original, and write chapters to create a story.

Different RPG. Do you remember the Heroes of the War of the Magi RPG? It started in 1997, and was based on Final Fantasy II (IV in Japan, and more recently in the US). It, unlike the others, was a chat based RPG. There would be meetings, and it eventually ended.

Different RPG. Do you remember all the Lunar RPGs? I mean, the ones based off of Lunar: The Silver Star and Lunar: Eternal Blue. They had various forms (everything from IRC to message boards), and there were a bunch of them.

There have been many RPGs out there from 1994 on. I just picked these because they meant a lot to me and I remember them so well. Are you still a big fan of online RPGs?
