I was subscribed to a chain mail list that usually supplied and put forth interesting, tolerant and highly inteligent and well-educated ideas. However after recieveing an email from them practically advertising "reparitive therapy" i blocked them. The one part i found particularly disgustingly insulting even tho im straight is this: "By the way, the statistics of successful changes from gay to straight are at least as good, if not better, than the statistics found when looking at other life-damaging disorders, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, obesity, etc." I found that comparison absolutely sickening.

As a recent addition to this question i was just reading through this random "teen help" site labelled 'FreeToBeMe' which- in regards to sexual orientation generally seems to be leaning towards the you're-not-gay-just-sexuallly-confused-and-will-grow-out-of-it-side. At the end of an answer written in response to a question regarding getting a hard-on seeing other guys naked in a change room it said: "Be careful not to do things, or participate in stuff that could direct your sexuality in directions you do not want it to go in your life." STRAIGHT PPL DO YOU CONSIDER THIS HOMOPHOBIC?
