jealousy is of something that you already have (e.g. your friends spend more time with their bfs than with you) and envy is what you don't have and you want ( you wish you had your friend's bf)

envy is for grown ups and jealousy is for kids

jealousy is of something that you wish you had and envy is of something you already have
