Spanking: More common among Minorities and Ethnic Groups?

In America, spanking seems to be disappearing as an accepted method of discipline, at least amoung Caucasions. But it seems to me that it is still common and even expected in minorities and ethnic groups - specifically Blacks and Hispanics and Asians. Is this just a crazy suspicion or am I right? Please feel free to offer comments, suggestions, or experiences, either by e-mailing me or in the talk about it section. Also, I am not a racest, but am only curious about the use of corporal punishment in ethnic groups.
