Radical Conservatives in the Republican Party

Do you think the Republican Party is conservative or ultra-conservative?

Do you subscribe to the theory that anyone who doesn't support President Bush is a traitor?

Are you aware that some people feel that way?

Have conservatives ignored our individual liberty for the sake of counter-terrorism?

Are you familiar with the Patriot Act?

Is it acceptable for any government to hold it's citizens without access to a lawyer and without due process if it (the government) suspects that person is a terrorist?

What happens if this person was innocent (not a terrorist)?

Are you familiar with the sociological theory of group polarization?

In group polarization, a group of like minded people discuss an issue or issues and in the end, they end up believing a viewpoint that is more extreme than the viewpoint they had before. Could the constant meetings open to only Republicans in Congress and the President be one of the reasons why Republicans are becoming more conservative?
