On Government and Internet Bias

If you had to strengthen one branch of government over the others, would you strengthen the Executive (President), Legislative (Senate & Congress), or the Judicial (Supreme Court)? The responses are segregated by your answer to the previous question, please answer accordingly.

Do you favor a larger or smaller government? A large number of government-run or government-subsidized social programs are characteristic of "Big Government", while a small number of such programs are characteristic of "Small Government".

In principle, do programs like Welfare and Medicare/Medicaid exist for the good of the majority of people, or do they hurt more than they help?

Taking into account the cost-effectiveness of these programs, should they be abandoned, fixed by privatizing the accounts and allowing people to invest the money themselves, fixed by increasing the government fund by raising taxes, or fixed by increasing the government fund by cutting spending elsewhere?

In principle, what should the government prioritize its income for, or, which should receive the most federal funding: the military, paying off the national debt, federal matters like regulating interstate commerce, national security (in which I include FEMA), local programs such as subsidizing farmers, or funding civilian scientific research?

Does the federal government have the right to legislate on social issues such as gay marriage, or does this issue fall to state governments?

If you answered that the federal government has the right to legislate on social issues like homosexual marriage, do you believe that they should not pass legislation? That is, do you believe that the federal government has the ability to legislate, but that for one reason or another, they should restrain themselves?

Do you feel that the federal government's current monitoring programs (for instance NSA wire-tapping) that we know about are intrusive to the point of violating your right to privacy, or do you feel that such programs are mostly unobtrusive and only truly affect people who want to bring harm to your country?
