Since 9-11, The Federal Aviation Administration has limited access to portions (gates, restaurants, shops) of airports past security to travelers only. Prior to 9-11 this was a local option which was used by only a small fraction of US Airports. Now, more than 5+ years after 9-11, and supposed enhanced security procedures, do you think airport terminals should be reopened to "meeters and greeters", and more importantly, family and friends who can provide assistance to the traveler, which may not be available from the airport/airlines. As well as, keeping public places open to the public, which has always been the American way.
Should non-passengers once again be allowed past security check points, after clearing security, of course?
